The interactions shared with one another are pivotal to learning. Although much of our assignments were done on our own, it was nice to be able to receive constructive feedback and exchange ideas. I liked how we all had different perspectives on a topic and were able to provide each other with different insights.

The knowledge and skills I learned from this course will help me in my workplace because I was provided with a platform on how to be a better listener, more confident, and how to communicate more effectively. In my personal and spiritual life, I can use the skills Ive learned to avoid misunderstandings and be more culturally aware when interacting with others.

Faith influences and shapes my communication style because the values that were instilled in me are projected when I speak. I was taught to be kind, respectful, and polite to everyone regardless of their beliefs or backgrounds. I believe its not only faith but also upbringing that shape the way we communicate.

To conclude I will leave you with a verse that I enjoyed in regards to public speaking. Colossians 4:6, ESV Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you ought to answer each person. Peer response # 2. byCheyenne BellWednesday, August 25, 2021, 8:51 PM1. This week, you were asked to read about the importance of effective communication skills in the workplace. After reading this article, please respond to the following questions: What is the most important piece of learning (either through the reading, Discussions, assignments, or speech) that you have gained in this course? I have gained I would have to say a lot from this course, and I think it comes with everything from Reading to your discussions and even the speeches. I know that there is still a lot of improvement that I still need even after this class. I think that I learned the most about how to present and prepare for a speech and all the information that it takes to provide a well informed and practiced speech. I think another thing that I learned was the fact that you have to make sure that your speech fits your audience. I think that this is very important, because the whole time you are presenting you want to be able to keep your audience interested and not lose them at the beginning, then we all just wasted our time.

Describe how and why this learning is important to you? I think that this whole class is important because you want to be confident when you get up in front of anyone. Even if it is just you talking to your boss at work, or in groups at school. The confidence, and the ability to address your audience in an appropriate manner is important because you do not want to lose the respect and credibility of your audience.

How will the knowledge and skills that you learned in this course help you in the workplace in the future? I think everything from the way you present, to how you prepare, to how you organize, and to the way you should dress and speak to the right people for the right topics is important with anything. At work you might have to present a presentation to a group of people, or even in an interview. An interview is like a speech where you are selling yourself to the new employer and if you are speaking the correct way, and wearing the correct clothes and having the confidence you will be able to present yourself to be the best candidate for the job.

How will the knowledge and skills that you learned in this course help you in your personal and spiritual relationships in the future? I personally do not know how it will help me in my personal or spiritual aspect due to the fact that my faith is not something that I share with people, it is something that I personally feel and unless someone asks, I do not speak much about it. I think if anything it made me confident in myself and my own abilities to be able to get in front of people, or in this case a camera and be okay with how I would present any topic. I think confidence in yourself is a very important thing with anything you might talk about.

2. How does your faith influence and shape your communication style? I think faith gives you the courage to get up and speak about what you believe in as well as allow you to open up to people without fear of judgement. I do not share my spirituality with people, unless asked but I am very confident and know how to speak about it according to my audience. I also feel that it helps shape how I speak to people and communicate with others.
