Explain why Noble thinks we should step up and defend historical Luddism.

Attached is an essay by David Noble called “In Defence of Luddism.” (He was Canadian, so he spells it “Defence” in the British way; you should spell it American style defense in the text of your essay when not quoting his title).
I want you to read the whole essay before you write about it.
When you write about it please complete three tasks:
Explain why Noble thinks we should step up and defend historical Luddism. Give a well-reasoned, respectful explanation.Support your explanation to show how you would apply a luddite analysis to examples from this course (specifically drawing on one or two moments in media tech history from the readings). Please be thoughtful in forming opinions (that is, provide informed opinion). In a conclusion, apply Noble’s “Defence of Luddism” to a present-day issue in technology that we might not have covered yet in the course. This can be anything that you think can be understood from the Luddite perspective.
Your grade will depend on having these three tasks clearly completed in two pages.
Format Requirements: You must write your name on the paper. You must write no more than 2 pages, but more than 1 page. The paper must be double spaced, 12-point font, with one-inch margins all around.
